Visiting the President of Maine Maritime Academy, USA
Jerald S. “Jerry” Paul, the President of Maine Maritime Academy located in Castine, Maine, USA, and his team visited the National Korea Maritime and Ocean University on the afternoon of the 11th.
During the visit, President Gerald “Jerry” Paul and his team had the opportunity to exchange insights on the latest trends in maritime education systems at both universities and discuss practical strategies for future human and academic collaborations.
“I believe that we can establish a platform to foster global maritime talent development, extending beyond the Americas and Asia through increased exchanges with Maine Maritime Academy,” said Choi Seok-yoon, President (acting deputy).
Maine Maritime Academy is one of the six largest state maritime educational institutions in the United States. Since its inception in 1941, the school has had approximately 950 students studying maritime-specific fields such as engineering, business administration, and transportation.
Maine Maritime Academy is a prestigious institution, ranking #1 among U.S. public universities in the 2014 and 2015 U.S. Money Magazine college rankings.
